Privacy Policy

North Pole Console (“the app”) is developed by Kevin Nealon (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. It is written to match, in full, the shorter summary shown inside the app itself.
Our approach
North Pole Console is built to work entirely on your own device. There are no accounts, and we do not operate any server that stores your visits, the children’s names, notes, messages, or your portrait photo. All of that information lives only in the app’s local storage on your phone or tablet, and is removed if you delete the app.
Information you provide
- Your display name and Santa portrait photo, used only to personalise the app
- Visit details you enter: children’s names, ages, pronunciations, wishes and notes
- In-app messages you write for the Messages and scheduled-messages features
- App settings and preferences (sound, haptics, startup mode, and so on)
All of the above is stored locally on your device only. We cannot see it, and it is never uploaded to us or to any third party.
Camera and photo library
The app asks for camera or photo library access only when you choose to add or change the Santa portrait shown in the app. The chosen photo is stored locally on your device; we never receive a copy.
Location
If you turn on the Santa Tracker’s “find my town” feature, the app requests your device’s location. This is used once, on-device, to work out the name of your town; the underlying coordinates are then discarded and never stored or transmitted anywhere. You can also set a town manually without granting location access at all.
Analytics
With your permission, on by default and switchable off at any time in Settings → Privacy, the app sends anonymous, aggregate counts of which features and stories are used, to help us understand what to improve. This never includes your visits, children’s names, notes, portrait, messages or location, and no account or personal profile is built from it. This data is processed by PostHog, hosted in the EU.
Purchases
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, and processed on our behalf by RevenueCat, a subscription-management platform. RevenueCat receives only the information needed to manage your subscription (such as an anonymous purchase/transaction identifier); it does not receive your visits, names, notes or location. Children’s privacy
North Pole Console is a professional tool intended for adult performers, used to prepare for and present in-person visits with children. It is not directed at children, does not offer accounts, and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Any child-related detail (a name, age or wish) is entered by the adult performer, stored locally on their own device, and is never transmitted to us or anyone else.
Data retention and deletion
Because everything is stored locally, you are always in control: remove a visit, note, message or your portrait at any time within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all locally stored data at once. We hold no copy to delete on our end.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
